Frequently Asked Questions

Streamline Platform Overview

What is Streamline?

The Streamline platform was designed to provide a centralized collaboration hub for agencies, TPAs, and General Agents (GAs) to manage their Benefits Administration operations.

Streamline helps organizations create consistent processes across teams while managing workflows, communications, and documentation in a single platform. The goal is to improve operational efficiency and ensure data integrity across the benefits ecosystem.

Streamline Modules

What Streamline modules are currently available and how do they assist our agency?

Streamline Data is designed to audit and validate data between multiple systems.

Key capabilities include:

  • Auditing and comparing two Excel data sets to quickly identify discrepancies
  • Providing a centralized location to communicate, document, and resolve data issues
  • Supporting collaboration between carriers, benefits administration systems, and payroll systems
  • Converting carrier invoices into audit-friendly formats
  • Merging files and exporting discrepancies into user-friendly reports

This tool allows agencies to quickly identify and correct data inconsistencies across systems.

Streamline Ben Ops focuses on operational workflow management for Benefits Administration.

Key modules include:

  • Renewal Management
  • Eligibility Management
  • Operational task tracking
  • Benefits administration support workflows

These modules help agencies standardize and manage the operational processes that support client benefits administration.

Who Uses Streamline?

The Streamline platform is currently used by:

    • Employee Benefits Brokers managing internal benefits administration services
    • Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) supporting broker partners
    • General Agents (GAs) supporting broker partners

Future plans for the platform include enabling insurance carriers to leverage Streamline for:

    • Data integrity validation
    • Error reporting
    • Quoting

What Problems Does Streamline Solve?

Many agencies license benefits administration systems such as:

    • Employee Navigator
    • Ease
    • Selerix
    • PlanSource

These systems have enabled brokers to offer self-service benefits administration implementations, which requires agencies to build internal operational support teams.

Currently, many organizations manage these operations using a mix of:

    • CRM systems
    • Task management platforms
    • Shared drives
    • Email communications

This fragmented approach often leads to inconsistent processes, especially as agencies grow or are acquired.

Streamline solves this problem by:

    • Centralizing documentation and communication
    • Standardizing benefits administration workflows
    • Creating operational consistency across brokers, employers, TPAs, GAs, and carriers
    • Providing one platform to manage benefits administration operations

Streamline History

How long has Streamline been around?

    • Streamline Data (formerly the Data Validation Platform) launched in 2021.
    • The operational workflows that support Streamline Ben Ops date back to 2009, when the founder worked at Employee Navigator and later launched Broker Builder Solutions.

These workflows have been continuously refined and were fully integrated into the Streamline platform in 2025.

In the meantime, Streamline can easily work with exported reports from any system.

Current invoice conversion support

Streamline Data can convert carrier invoices from:

    • Guardian
    • Mutual of Omaha
    • Unum

These files can then be compared directly with the Employee Navigator Carrier Plans Report.

Data Security & Storage

Streamline, powered by Data Management Solutions, follows the SOC 2 Type 2 compliance framework.

Security measures include:

    • Data stored in an encrypted DigitalOcean managed database
    • SSL encryption for data in transit
    • LUKS encryption (Linux Unified Key Setup) for data at rest
    • Automatic security patch updates

These protections ensure secure storage and transmission of agency data.
